Banjo On My Knee

Hey Huck Faithful! Been awhile, huh? Well, we've been retooling due to some runaways to the Southland. But we've a new player! Bill Norris strummin' on the ol' banjo. So y'all should come out in the next few weeks in October to see the new line-up. We'll be adding some more players soon but we are once again a trio. Well met we are. The Bremen Town Huck musicians soldier on...

The Band Fans

I believe this article is about the couple in Union Square that always would ask us to play something by Jerry or the Band. Check it!

David falls, Goliath moves on. Stupid slingshot.

So into each life some rain must fall, right?

Accordingly, for those keeping score we came in 7th out of 10 at the semi-finals(Round 3) of Emergenza. We got 41 votes. The #1 band Hollis Browne got 237 votes. Yikes! But yay for them. I liked 'em.

And as always for the uber completionist fans, the set list:

--Time To Move On
--The Same Old Streets
--Moonlight In Vegas
--You Win, I Lose
--Take Me Back
--Sissy

The Knitting Factory has not heard the last of us though!

Festival Update

Okay Huck Faithful,

Here's the deal. We made it through the first round, but got stalled in the 2nd round. We placed #5 out of 10. We got 50 votes. But we were about 22 shy of 4th place. Yikes. Still, there's a slight chance we might pick up a wildcard into the 3rd round. Cross your collective fingers!

Here was last night's set list. We'll have some recordings up from the gig soon.

--Ever Be True
--The Swan Song
--Missing Mississippi Mister
--Sissy
--Paper Women
--Take Me Back
--West 33

Thanks everyone for coming! And for y'all that didn't, you can make it to our next gig. Details forthcoming.

On To The Next

So just to update you all on the band, we just performed in the Emergenza Festival on Thursday and it went really well, we moved on, and we're playing at the Bitter End next month in round two. Exciting!

In other news, James left us for greener pastures at the start of this year. Or more to the point, back to ol' Virginny. We wish him luck!

So we are back down to an exciting RAWK trio. For now....(provocative hint of things to come!)

And finally for all you people that are wallpapering your room with our setlists? Here's what we played:

--Time To Move On
--Jealousy
--Moonlight In Vegas
--West 33
--Paper Women
--Sissy
--Shape I'm In
--Blueberry
